Let’s get one thing straight, I love Lucy as much as the next guy okay? It's not that I have anything against “I love Lucy” in fact it is one of my all time very favorite shows- but that’s as far as my love goes. I actually don't want to see any classic T.V shows made into casual PC games. Before you know it, whatever affection you may have had for the sitcom will completely disappear from overexposure.

SideNote: It has also been reported that Beanbag Studios will also release “The Honeymooners” and “The Three Stooges” game as well as more Lucy games, including one in the style of “Diner Dash.” Ugh.

The objective of “The I Love Lucy Game: Episode 1” from Beanbag Studios is very simple. You must fill up the I Love Lucy meter by playing 4 mini games (photo recall, picture puzzle, trivia clips, and build a clip)featuring video clips and pictures from the episodes. The amount of points awarded for every game depends on the game’s difficulty and obviously, the harder the game, the more points you get.

From the casual TV viewer to the “Nick at Night” fanatic, everyone should be able to get into the game fairly quickly. I mean it’s “I Love Lucy” pop culture trivia here folks, not the SAT’s! If you don't know the answers, "you got some splainin' to do."

While I like the idea of seeing my favorite television show from time to time I am still not sold on the concept of it as a casual PC game.

As you can probably tell there are limits to a game based mostly on video clips and still images, which results in short and shallow gameplay, and with very limited replayability.

One of the first issues I had while playing “The I Love Lucy Game: Episode1” was that I felt like I wasn't working towards anything. In other words, you're making money by solving puzzles, but there isn't anything you could buy with the cash, such as the ability to watch the entire episode from start to finish or lost clips or any reward for that matter. You can unlock a small bonus game, but I won't give anything away about what you get.

A bigger problem though, is you definitely won't want to play the game a second time around. This is because you'll see the exact same trivia questions and puzzles. So after a short time you will basically see all there is to see, and then you're done.

In the end, I simply say to the developers behind these games “Go away! Stop using our favorite TV shows, simply because you can't come up with any decent or original game ideas of your own.”

-Desi Arnaz (Ricky Ricardo) insisted that "I Love Lucy" be filmed in front of a live studio audience because he knew Lucille responded well to a live audience.

-Desi had such a great memory he could memorize his lines in just one reading of the script.

-Actor Gale Gordon was the first choice to play Fred Mertz, but he was unavailable. When they came across William Frawley, Desi wanted him but he was told that Frawley would be a bad choice because he was a womanizer, a gambler, and a drunk. Arnaz said, "He's perfect!"

-To make actress Vivian Vance (Ethel) look "older and frumpier" than Lucille Ball, Vance had to dye her hair a dishwater blonde and wear house dresses that were a few sizes smaller to make her appear overweight.

-Vivian was offered a spin-off of “I Love Lucy” with co-star William Frawley but because the two did not like each other in real life she refused to do it.

-When Lucy was pregnant with Little Ricky, network censors wouldn't let her say "pregnant." She had to say "expecting".

-Desi Arnaz invented the “rerun”, during the pregnancy episodes by re-airing some episodes from the first season to give Lucy some rest.

-Desi Arnaz Jr.appears in the final first-run episode of the series. Although his sister, Lucie Arnaz who is older for some reason, doesn't.

-Because of limited space on the sound stage, the Ricardo's bedroom and the Mertz's living room are the same set with different furniture.

-The Ricardo’s' address was 623 E. 68thStreet. However, E. 68th Street only goes up to 600; which means that the Ricardo’s' building would have been in the middle of the East River!
