 Stand O'Food
Would you like fries with that?

Ah, fast food, we just love it don’t we? We love it so much we spend more than $120 billion on it each year (yes, that's billion with a "b"). So it’s no wonder that there is another food service game out now called “Stand O’Food”, based on America’s favorite past-time. Unlike “Diner Dash” this restaurant service type game is all about making money by making the food. That old familiar catchphrase “have it your way” is really put to the test.
So strap on an apron, a hairnet and a smile because customers are already starting to line up and they sure are hungry!

Depending on which restaurant you're serving in the main mode - such as the Burger Bar, Vegetarian Paradise, Butch's Chicken House or Omelet Stand - your job is to put sandwiches together in the correct sequence. This is seen in a bubble above each customer's head, such as a picture of a hamburger, bacon and eggs or chicken.
It challenges you to feed a host of hungry patrons before they leave in a huff! As people line up at your counter, you'll slap together burgers, bacon melts and more as quickly as you can.
A bunch of conveyor belt-like countertops contain the ingredients you will need to assemble the meal, you must build it up from the bottom by clicking on the last ingredient on one of the counters. You must extract the ingredients in a way that allows you to make the next sandwich without difficulty. For example, if a customer asks for a fish burger, you must first click on the bottom bun, then find a counter with the fish patty and then one that has the cheese , tartar sauce for extra $ and lastly the top bun at the edge. If you need something that happens to be one or two items back, you can place the items on a holding plate to get them out of your way.
One thing that irked me within the game is sometimes your ingredients get so backed up you can't get to the ones you need, and because you only have one extra holding plate, there's not much you can do except stand around and hope someone else will request what's in your hand or wait for the angry customer to storm out.

The goal is to earn enough money to purchase condiments (ketchup, tartar sauce, and mayo) and upgrade your equipment to serve even tastier food faster than before!
“Stand O' Food” isn't all about speed though; you've also got to plan ahead. As customers place their orders, your job is to put together the right ingredients in the correct order, of course as quickly as possible, hey it’s not called fast food for nothing!
The gameplay does take a while to get challenging however, maybe it’s because my first job was working at Burger King (I lasted 1 whole day), ahem, but it wasn't until my 12th restaurant or so before I lost a level by having too many people walk out on me. I just wish it had heated up the difficulty level just a bit.

“Stand O’ Food” is a fun food building game with bright, and colorful graphics. I really enjoyed constructing the different food orders, it was a refreshing twist to the food service RTS type of games that I so adore. With 100 levels to complete and more than 80 different sandwiches to create you will no doubt get your "lunch money's worth".

So hurry up, start slinging those patties and fry up some bacon, and keep the line moving the lunch rush customers are starting to pile in!
