A few days ago, I headed on over to my neighborhood Sears to get more k-cups for my great new Keurig coffee maker (be sure to check out my shout out about it.) Before I left though I popped on over to the electronics dept.
Amongst the gadgets and gizmos I came across the new rare, hard to find metallic blue Rob,osapien V2 looking massive and quite impressive in his display case. But at $250, he is a bit steep!
But the store happened to be having a 50% off sale on all Robosapiens, (rumor has it that they are making room for yet another version). Ok, so at $125 he was starting to look a little more appealing.
“What’s that you say Mr. Sears Salesman guy, none left!”
Long story short, I got me the floor model, which shaved off an extra 20%! Quick math, that’s about $99, give or take.
“Robosapien V2 is a highly evolved robotic fusion of technology and personality, combining fluid biomechanical motion with a multi-sensory, interactive humanoid personality”. Translation in laymen’s terms: he is an absolute blast to play with and scared the crap out of my dog! Hysterical!
I think we’re all familiar with the original Robosapien that took the world by storm aren’t we, we’ve all seen the commercials on T.V. demonstrating his impressive body movements which included bending, sitting, standing, dancing, and waving.
The new and improved robot does all that and more, he walks(waddles), he talks, he kicks, picks up and throws objects he even comes complete with his very own bowling ball and pins, responds to your commands, reacts to your touch, dances, raps, performs kung-fu moves, farts, belches, whistles, as well as terrorizing small animals!
Bottom line the big lug, is awkward and clumsy, has some pretty disgusting habits, and is a terrible bowler, but he’s also endearing, lovable and clever and he’s mine! All mine!
